Upon waking up, we decided we would head back to D.C. to attempt a museum. We were able to see many of the famous sites and landmarks, but we kept talking about how bummed we were to not have gone into at least one museum. And two, we truly loved it there and wanted to experience more. The drive there was much quicker! Very quick in comparison to the time before. However, the weather was much hotter! D.C. just had hit record breaking temperatures and the day was supposed to be over 100 degrees and that was not including the humidity. With humidity at the end of the day, it said we were at 104 degrees. We definitely felt it. As the trip back to the car was brutal. It was hot, it seemed to take forever, and it was only a little over 4 miles. Nothing that we aren’t used to, but I feel the heat dragged it on! I guess we shouldn’t complain, we heard back home, they been rocking the 107 degree weather for days and were heading towards the end of the week to be at 111 degrees! Total of 7.97 RT miles today! We were looking forward to back home, food, and a jump into the pool, and the kids want a little fishing to happen! So maybe all the above! It’s summer, what the heck!
